Well, water anyway.

Saturday night saw us at home, the boat at Holme Pierrepont & one of the cars at Gunthorpe. To remedy this required some serious juggling – retrieve the car from Gunthorpe & park it at the marina where we intended to end the day, drive to Holme Pierrepont to pick up the boat (on what Winnie the Pooh would term a ‘blustery day’ and a step we had to repeat since we left the boat keys in the car at the marina), moor up, drive the stashed car back to Holme Pierrepont and return home. And hopefully fit in some food & and birthday present shopping on the way.

All of which was achieved, apart from the fact that we moored on the canal near the marina to avoid potential mishaps given the high winds & close proximity of other boats. We may as well go out during the witer if this is what British weather in May has to offer.

I feel a beer coming on.
