Why (now)?

So one year on and the liveaboard is not to be, for the moment at least. In retrospect it was absurdly optimistic to think we could sell the house immediately, find and live on a boat for a good while and move the girls to a new school, all in twelve months.

On the plus side we do own a boat and spend as much time as possible on her, and this site has morphed into a fun (for me at least) diary of what we were thinking and up to since January 2008 which I’ll keep tinkering with. ‘moorjoy’ still represents something we’re looking for, and our activities with the Maggie Winn will remain the focus. It’s not as earnest as it was in the early days, which is probably a good thing. The original ‘Why?’ is here for future reference which I may return to at some point.

Did I mention I’ve got a Jaguar now?
